I feel I've been an entrepreneur all my life, early as 5 years old pulling weeds to get a dime. YaHoo! I started doing surf contest for my High School. Later putting on contests with sponsors like Stubbies and Witts Carlsbad Pipeline (of course, I had good friends that helped me accomplish this). Soon after school I planned to start a clothing line called Burns Designs but instead I spent all my time surfing and traveling to the North Shore!
Soon I realized I needed to be responsible (uggghhh). As I got older I, again, had the itch to start a clothing line, only this time "MOJO WEAR" - after my nick name "MOJO" 'cuz... I was a Jim Morrison fan; "Mr Mojo Risin". I made some cool designs and started selling to friends until one day, during a party at my house, a photo my friend Dave Donnelly took of me a few years earlier just for fun, caught my guests attention... "You need to put this on a shirt!" to which I replied "Why? it's just a photo"........ The rest is history.
Since 1994 we've sold over 15,000 shirts, not including over 4000 shirts printed in 2009 alone, our 1st full year doing it full time and from farmers market to Street Fairs and Festivals. What once was a picture in a hallway is now in restaurants, cafes, bars, pizza parlor and most of all, people's bathrooms. Quite often we hear from customers, proudly telling us they have our picture in their bathroom. What can I say.... "whatever makes you happy!" ;-)
2009 was the first year that we came out with women's tank tops with our picture on the back. Spring of 2010, we will have a new kids line with the picture plus two more designs up our sleeve. So stay tuned! 2010 will also be advance our website to it's fullest with BLOGS, games, monthly specials, and even give-a-ways!
We will also have a special photo page for all you loyal Lost Soul Fan to post your picture on our website for everyone to see. How FUN is that!
Please feel FREE to call, text, email, or just plain old smoke signals will even work for any question you may have.
Look forward to hearing from you soon!
Aloha!! Pat Burns
